Workplace Wellness is key in our overall health

We spend most of our waking hours at work. Typically we spend more time with our co-workers than we do with our family. It is not surprise then that work has one of the biggest impacts on our mental health and mental well-being.

Although this information is not new, it is surprising how little gain we have truly made over the last few years.

We continue to hear about “toxic bosses” and “toxic work environments” when we have excellent resources to move the dialogue on this.

The Mental Health Commission of Canada has an amazing resource available for free. That’s right, FREE! It is the National Standard of Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.

Information on the Standard is available here along with resources and implementation support.

For more support for your organization, or to build the skills within your staff teams to support workplace wellness, visit Community Healthcare Consulting or call 705-791-4602. We can help!
